Department Mission

The English Department at Wszechnica Świętokrzyska is committed to informing its majors about literature and literary history and also helping them to develop the writing and critical thinking skills required for literary interpretation.

The Department serves the university community through its commitment to the teaching of critical thinking, cogent analysis, and clear written expression as well as scholarly oriented disciplines such as general methodology and early years methodology of teaching English, at the same time also paying much attention to the practical aspects of the language.

The English Department prepares undergraduate students for professional careers in teaching in all school types: integrated teaching, primary school, lower and upper secondary school. Our graduates can find their job opportunities anywhere a good command of English is essential, whether within or outside the educational sector.
